WebbWhen I learned that Magary had written a novel called "The Postmortal" I thought it would be a comic novel because, after all, that's what he's known for. Imagine my surprise when I found not a humorous send-up of staying young forever but a dark, cautionary tale about the dangers of tweaking the human timeline. WebbI'm a big fan of science fiction, and the idea of an extended human life span and whatnot. I guess I just felt that Magary's book was more of a short story spread out into a book. Anyways, I recommend Alastair Reynold's House of Suns for a look at some truly postmortal people (in the millions of years).
