WebMar 22, 2024 · People receiving VPTAS assistance pay the first $100 each treatment year for their travel and accommodation, except for primary card holders of a Pensioner Concession Card or Health Care Card. After the initial payment VPTAS covers all travel and accommodation costs for the remainder of the treatment year. WebThe aim of the ACT Interstate Patient Travel Assistance Scheme (IPTAS) is to support permanent residents of the ACT to access specialist medical treatment and oral surgical health care (excluding routine dental work) outside of the ACT by assisting with travel and commercial accommodation costs. ACT IPTAS is not a full reimbursement scheme.
